Cathy Qian Yan is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in media relations and public relations. Currently serving as the Head of International Media Relations at Alibaba Group since May 2020, Cathy previously held the position of Deputy Head of International Media Relations within the same organization. Prior to this, Cathy was the Head of Public Relations at Lazada Group from March 2019 to May 2020. Cathy's earlier experience includes roles as Assistant Director at Alibaba Group, Chief Reporter at Hong Kong Economic Times, New York Chief Correspondent at Sina Com Technology (China) Co. LTD, Financial Reporter at Hong Kong Economic Times, and Financial Reporter at Wen Wei Po Limited. Cathy holds a Master of Arts in International Journalism Studies from Hong Kong Baptist University and a Bachelor's degree in International Journalism from Xiamen University.
