Wen Wang

Wen Wang is a seasoned algorithm engineer and director at Alibaba Group since February 2018. Previously, Wen held various positions at SRI International from August 2002 to February 2018, including Senior Research Engineer, where responsibilities included leading efforts on the DARPA BOLT program to develop a speech-to-speech translation system. In earlier roles at SRI, Wen contributed to machine translation and information retrieval, collaborating as a co-principal investigator on projects focused on natural language processing for informal genres. Wen earned a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Purdue University and holds both an M.S. and B.S. in Computer Engineering and Information and Control Engineering, respectively, from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
