Alida Biosciences
Zachary Miles has a long history of work experience. Starting in 2006, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2009, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Arizona, where they studied the enzymology of the queuosine biosynthetic pathway in the laboratory of Prof. Vahe Bandarian. From 2015-2017, they were a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where they studied marine natural product biosynthesis in the laboratory of Prof. Bradley Moore. In 2017, they joined BASF as a Scientist III- Enzyme Technologies. In 2020, they joined Encodia, Inc. as a Staff Scientist - Team Lead - Protein Engineering and Senior Scientist - Protein Engineering. Most recently, they were appointed Director, Protein Engineering at Alida Biosciences in 2022.
Zachary Miles earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2009. Zachary then went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from the University of Arizona in 2014.
