Abdullo Kurbanov

Abdullo Kurbanov is a seasoned entrepreneur and finance professional, currently serving as Co-Founder and CEO of Ayan Capital, which aims to provide Islamic finance services to underserved communities in the UK. As Co-Founder and CEO of Alif Bank since January 2014, Abdullo has helped establish a challenger bank focused on Islamic finance, in-house banking technology, education, and youth, operating with a team of over 1,100 and serving nearly 2 million clients in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Additionally, Abdullo co-founded somon.tj, the most visited website in the Tajik internet domain. Previous roles include Deputy Chairman at OJSC Orienbank, Vice President of Mining Investments at Origo Partners Plc, and various positions at UBS Investment Bank, Oliver Wyman, and Goldman Sachs. Abdullo holds a Master of Science in Finance from The London School of Economics and has completed courses in FinTech and Blockchain at Harvard University and Wharton Executive Education.
