Alan McDowell

Alan McDowell is a seasoned professional in business continuity and disaster recovery, currently serving as a Senior SRM Specialist - Business Continuity at Alight Solutions since January 2020. In this role, Alan consults on the configuration of a comprehensive business continuity platform and provides strategic guidance for the expansion of the program to include IT disaster recovery and international operations. Previously, as an Enterprise Continuity Planner at Williams Company from May 2013 to November 2019, Alan revitalized the Enterprise Continuity Program and collaborated with over 100 representatives to develop and exercise business impact analyses and continuity plans. Alan also has extensive experience as a Project Manager at IBM, where responsibilities included the creation and execution of disaster recovery plans and exercises for more than 80 applications. Alan holds a Master of Science in Operations Research from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Computer Science and Chemistry from Southwestern University.
