Heleen Roose

Heleen Roose began their work experience as a PhD researcher at KU Leuven in October 2012, where they worked until March 2018. Following this, they joined UZ Leuven as a staff member at the Center of Human Genetics from April 2018 to April 2019. Heleen then joined Oncurious in April 2019 as a Scientist, where they worked until September 2021. Currently, Heleen is working as a Senior Scientist at Aligos Therapeutics starting from November 2021.

Heleen Roose completed their education at KU Leuven, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science from 2006 to 2010. Heleen went on to earn a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Science, specializing in Drug Development, from 2010 to 2012. Later, from 2012 to 2018, they pursued a Doctorandus degree in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Cancer. Additionally, Heleen took a French course (B1 level) at CLT (Centrum voor Levend Talen) from 2014 to 2017. Heleen also acquired several certifications, including an Introduction to R Course from DataCamp in July 2017, a Frans B1 certificate from CLT in May 2017, an Online Statistics course from KU Leuven (year not specified), and a Certificate of 'expert laboratory animal leader' (FELASA Category B+C) from KU Leuven in January 2013. Heleen also has a certification in Presentation Skills, although the institution and date of acquisition are not provided.
