Emil Skals

Emil Skals is a seasoned professional currently serving as a Partner at The Footprint Firm, an advisory and investment company focused on sustainability initiatives since October 2019. Emil has held multiple roles, including a rotational CEO position from 2022 to 2024, and has directed efforts to bridge the gap between business operations and sustainability. Additionally, Emil is the Chairman of the Board at a:gain, a company specializing in upcycled building materials, and has served on the boards of several organizations, including Alive Festival, Stykka, and Reel, all aimed at promoting sustainable practices and circular economy principles. Previous experience includes strategic leadership at Lendager Group and extensive consulting work at QVARTZ in operations and transformation across various industries. Emil holds a Master’s degree in Design & Innovation from DTU and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
