Asaad al-Kharusi

Asaad Al-Kharusi currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Alizz Islamic Bank since April 2021, having held the position of Acting Chief Operating Officer and Head of Strategy & Transformation. Prior to this, Asaad was the Head of Islamic Retail Products Development at Sohar International from March 2020 to April 2021. Asaad's extensive experience in the banking sector includes various leadership roles at MEETHAQ Islamic Banking from June 2008 to February 2020, where responsibilities spanned product development and management across retail and consumer banking segments. Asaad holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Islamic Banking & Finance from Bangor University and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Finance from Sultan Qaboos University.
