David Barr

David Barr is an experienced compliance professional with a career spanning several decades in the pharmaceutical and regulatory industries. Currently serving as Director of QA Compliance and Director of Compliance at Alkermes since November 2006, responsibilities include overseeing Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), PDMA, and FDA matters. Prior to this, David held the position of VP of Pharmaceutical Consulting at AAC/Kendle Regulatory from September 1994 to November 2006, where expertise in public speaking, audits, and expert witnessing was developed. David's career also includes a role as Deputy Director of the Office of Compliance at the FDA, managing six divisions and facilitating collaboration across FDA units. David's educational background includes graduate work in Zoology at Cal State LA and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology from the same institution.
