Chayla Freeman

Chayla Freeman, MS, JD, is an accomplished regulatory affairs professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. As the Director of Regulatory Affairs at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since September 2019, Chayla has demonstrated significant expertise in managing regulatory strategies. Previously, Chayla served as the Global Regulatory Affairs Lead for Neuroscience at Shire and held various roles at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, focusing on oncology and CMC regulatory strategies. Chayla's earlier experience includes positions at Gilead Colorado and INO Therapeutics, where responsibilities encompassed global regulatory submissions and technical services. Additionally, Chayla contributes to the Science Club for Girls as a Board Member, further showcasing a commitment to community engagement. Chayla holds a Juris Doctorate from New England Law in Boston and advanced degrees in Chemistry from Louisiana State University and Southern University.
