Bear Kaufmann

Bear Kaufmann has been working in the energy and sustainable power generation field since 2007, when they began their research at ALL Power Labs. There, they held the roles of Chief Scientist and Chief Technology Officer, where they supported product development, engineering, and testing. Bear also oversaw the development of the PP30 biomass generator, which was developed with a California Energy Commission grant. Additionally, they have orchestrated numerous studies on the efficacy of characterized biochar. In 2021, Bear began working at On Deck as an On Deck Climate Tech Fellow.

Bear Kaufmann attended San Francisco State University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies - Earth System Science.
