Tom Overson has extensive experience in the hospitality industry. Tom started their career as an Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at Denver Marriott West in 1995. In 1996, they worked as a Suite Care Manager at Courtyard by Marriott. From 1997 to 1998, they served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Residence Inn. Tom then became the General Manager at Residence Inn, where they successfully increased house profit and achieved 100% occupancy. In 2001, they were promoted to Area General Manager, overseeing multiple properties in the Plano, Richardson, and Central Expressway markets. In this role, they implemented strategies to drive sales, decrease costs, and improve efficiency. In 2004, they became the Vice President at All Seasons Resort Lodging. Overall, Tom Overson has a proven track record in leadership, operations management, sales, and marketing within the hospitality industry.
Tom Overson pursued their education at The University of New Mexico from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained an A.A.S degree in Criminology. Additionally, they attended Central New Mexico Community College for an unspecified period, earning an AAS degree in Criminal Justice. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Real Estate Agent certification from Coldwell Banke in September 2020 and acquired the Community Association Manager certification from the Community Associations Institute in January 2019.
