Leighton Read

Leighton Read is the current Director at Allay Therapeutics. Leighton has previously held positions at Brandon Capital Partners, Alloy Ventures, and Aviron. From April 1992 to December 2001, they were the Chairman and CEO of Aviron. Prior to that, they were the President of the Pharma Division at Affymax from January 1988 to June 1991. Leighton Read has also been a General Partner at Interhealth Limited from September 1987 to June 1992.

Leighton Read completed a residency in internal medicine at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital Harvard Medical School. Leighton then completed an internal medicine residency program at Duke University School of Medicine. Leighton Read then earned their MD from UT Health San Antonio. Leighton has a BS in biology and psychology from Rice University.
