James Polachek has extensive experience in airport operations and safety management, currently serving as the Airport Operations Compliance and Program Manager at Allegheny County Airport Authority since May 2008. In this role, James oversees the Emergency Operations Control Center staff and is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of travelers, tenants, employees, and all users of Pittsburgh International Airport. Prior to this position, James held the role of Airport Operations Duty Manager and served as an Airport Operations Supervisor at Northwest Airlines from October 1998 to May 2008. James began a career in aviation as a pilot with Piedmont Airlines from January 1992 to October 1998. Academically, James earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Flight Technology from Kent State University.
