Benny Weksler

Benny Weksler is a highly experienced thoracic surgeon currently serving as the System Chief of Thoracic Surgery at Allegheny Health Network since October 2018. Prior to this role, Benny Weksler held the position of Chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery and Eastridge-Cole Professor of Thoracic Oncology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center from November 2013 to September 2018, where leadership of the Thoracic Oncology program was a key responsibility. Other significant roles include Chief of the Section of Thoracic Surgery at VA Pittsburgh Health System, Director of Robotic Thoracic Surgery and Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at UPMC, and Chief of the Section of Thoracic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Additionally, Benny Weksler served as Hospital Director for ESHO/Grupo Amil and held academic appointments at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Hospital Barra D'Or. Educational qualifications include an M.D. from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and an MBA from Universidade de São Paulo.
