Joel Boekankamp

Joel Boekankamp has extensive experience in platform engineering and systems administration, with a career that spans over a decade. At Allegiant, from June 2011 to March 2019, Joel held the position of Director of Platform Engineering, leading a team focused on server infrastructure maintenance and administration. Prior roles at Allegiant include Manager of DevOps, where Joel emphasized continuous integration and deployment practices, and Linux Systems Engineer, responsible for the configuration and maintenance of over 700 Linux servers. Prior to Allegiant, Joel worked at Vegas.com from January 2005 to June 2011 as a Systems Engineer, managing server environments that included Exchange, Active Directory, and various security appliances for multiple companies.
