Arden Yang

Arden Yang joined the Allen Institute in 2022. As Vice President for Innovation, he leads partnering, strategic alliance management and incubator development as part of the institute’s efforts to maximize the impact of the discoveries and inventions of its scientists and engineers.

Arden’s experience includes leading strategic planning, program management and technical operations at immune medicine pioneer Adaptive Biotechnologies, global biopharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca and biotechnology industry founder Genentech. At Adaptive, Arden led the building of critical planning and technical capabilities from pre-IPO through the pandemic. At AstraZeneca in global roles of increasing responsibility he led New Product Introductions, the Cambridge Strategic R&D Center program and Biologics Operations Strategy. At Genentech, Arden co-led a new technologies development program and strategic collaboration with the University of California at Berkeley and was a corporate strategic planning group lead.
