Julie Nyhus is a seasoned scientific professional with over 30 years of experience in research and laboratory management. Currently serving as Principal Scientific Project Coordinator at the Allen Institute since 2010, Julie has developed protocols for imaging and high-throughput assays related to brain tissue. Prior to this role, experience includes positions as Senior Associate Scientist at Life Technologies, where Julie optimized ELISA protocols and performed antibody screening, as well as a Research Associate at BioCrystal Ltd., where Julie developed protocols for assays using fluorescent nanocrystals. Julie's early career included research roles at the University of Iowa and Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc. Julie holds a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Grinnell College.
