Sam Byfield is an experienced policy leader with a focus on global health and non-communicable diseases. Currently serving as Policy Lead at Allen + Clarke since October 2021, Sam has previously held significant roles, including Manager of Disability Royal Commission Strategy and Engagement at the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, and several managerial positions at the Department of Health & Human Services in Victoria. An Honorary Senior Fellow at the Nossal Institute for Global Health, University of Melbourne, Sam led the development and teaching of one of Australia’s pioneering Master's programs on non-communicable diseases. Sam's educational background includes advanced degrees from the University of Melbourne and the Australian National University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts and partial Bachelor of Laws from the University of Newcastle.
