Michael Bergen Jr. is an experienced professional engineer (P.E.) with a background in mechanical engineering. Michael has a strong focus on providing consulting services and custom solutions for various clients in the commercial, industrial, and utility markets. Throughout their career, Michael has held roles such as Mechanical Department Head, Senior Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Senior Project Engineer, Manager of Engineering and Systems, Senior Heat Transfer Design Engineer, Project Manager, Mechanical Engineering Consultant, and Product Development Engineer. Michael has worked with owners, architects, engineers, and clients to engineer, price, and sell industrial cooling systems, HVAC systems, and other mechanical solutions. Michael has also been responsible for promoting and selecting appropriate equipment for each project and situation based on received or generated data.

Michael Bergen Jr., P.E., BCxP, CxA attended the University of Pittsburgh from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. In terms of certifications, they obtained the ACS 550 Certified Start Up School certification from ABB in February 2008. Michael later became a Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in May 2016 and in the State of Ohio in May 2019. In February 2020, they obtained the Building Commissioning Professional Certification (BCxP) from ASHRAE. Following that, they obtained the Professional Engineer license from the Maryland Department of Labor in February 2021 and from the State of West Virginia in March 2022. Michael also obtained the Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) certification from the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) in March 2022.
