Jessie Wirkus has extensive work experience in the field of education and instructional design. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as an Instructor at Brigham Young University, where they taught composition and literature. During this time, they also served as the Interim Director of the BYU Writing Center. From 2011 to 2018, Jessie was a Researcher Phd Candidate and Instructor at UC Irvine. In addition to teaching composition and literature, they conducted research on eighteenth-century British literature, focusing on the theme of embodiment. Jessie's dissertation was titled "The Hand: Grasping Embodiment in British Literature 1690-1746". Since 2018, they have been working at AllenComm, starting as a Performance Consultant and later being promoted to Senior Performance Consultant. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Strategic Solutions.
Jessie Wirkus received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Brigham Young University in 2008. They went on to complete a Master of Arts in English at Brigham Young University from 2008 to 2010. Finally, from 2011 to 2018, Jessie obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in English from UC Irvine.
