Edile Selvaraj began their work experience in 2017 with a short-term internship at Apex Biotechnology Training and Research Institute. During this internship, they focused on exploring research in antimicrobial activity using microbiology, conducting literature reviews and evaluating the antimicrobial potential of various agents.
In 2018, Edile joined Armats Biotek Training And Research Institute, where they conducted research on herbal plants for their medicinal applications. This involved selecting plants of interest through documentation, analysis of indigenous knowledge, historical records, and cultural practices associated with herbal medicine.
Also in 2018, Edile worked at Biozone Research Technologies Pvt. Ltd, where they focused on the significance of PCR in DNA analysis and its role in DNA fingerprinting for forensic investigations.
Currently, Edile is working at Allergy Therapeutics as a Microbiology QC Scientist, starting in 2023.
Edile Selvaraj completed a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Biotechnology at St. Joseph's College of Engineering. Following this, they pursued a Masters degree at the University of Leeds in the field of Infection, immunity, and human disease.
