Woohyung Lim

Woohyung Lim has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of AI research and development. Woohyung currently holds the position of Applied AI Research Group Leader / Vice President at LG AI Research, where they lead a team responsible for developing and servicing AI Cloud Platform for work productivity. Woohyung has also served as the Applied AI Research Lab Leader / Vice President and Data Intelligence Lab Leader / Vice President at LG AI Research. Prior to joining LG, they worked at AI Future Forum as the Co-Chair.

Before their tenure at LG, Woohyung held various positions at LG Sciencepark, including Data Intelligence Lab Leader / Research Fellow and Data Intelligence Task Leader / Research Fellow. Woohyung also worked as a Research Fellow at the same company. In addition, they have worked at SK Telecom as a Principal Research Engineer and Senior Research Engineer. Their work at SK Telecom involved conducting research and development activities. Early in their career, Woohyung worked at Samsung Electronics as a Senior Software Engineer.

Throughout their professional journey, Woohyung has gained valuable expertise and experience in AI research, data intelligence, and software engineering.

Woohyung Lim received a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University in 2000. Woohyung then pursued a Master's degree in Machine Learning / Speech Recognition from the same institution from 2000 to 2002. Woohyung furthered their education by completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Machine Learning / Speech Recognition from Seoul National University between 2002 and 2007.
