David Chura

David Chura is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Manager of Government Funding and Contract Compliance and Manager of Emerging Initiatives at ALLETE since August 2022, Chura focuses on attracting new growth opportunities and advancing renewable initiatives. Prior experience includes roles at Minnesota Power from 2015 to 2022, where Chura managed strategic accounts, key account operations, and led high-stakes projects for significant customer segments. Chura's past leadership as Executive Director of the Minnesota Logger Education Program resulted in substantial growth in organizational assets and services for the forest products industry. Additional experience includes serving as a Citizen Board Member for the Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation Board and holding various positions in the Minnesota House of Representatives and U.S. Senate. David Chura holds a BA in Political Science and History from Hamline University and the University of Minnesota Duluth.
