Nick Peterson

Nick Peterson, CPA, MBA, has extensive experience in risk management and accounting. Currently serving as the Manager of ALLETE Risk & Insurance since January 2008, Nick Peterson assists the Chief Risk Officer in developing and implementing the company’s risk management program while overseeing the Risk Department staff. Previous roles at ALLETE include Risk Manager and Risk Advisor, focusing on market, credit, enterprise risk management, and insurance functions. Additionally, Nick Peterson has military experience with the 148th Fighter Wing of the Minnesota Air National Guard, holding leadership positions such as Wing Weapons Manager and Weapons Safety Manager. Nick Peterson began a career in accounting as a Staff Accountant at Kolquist, Seitz and Goldman and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
