Thomas Smith

Since joining AHMM in 2012, Tom has been involved in a variety of projects in London. He was a key member of the Cocoa Studios project team which delivered a new commercial building for start-up businesses in the heart of Bermondsey, south London. He has experience with preserving, re-working and extending existing buildings working on early and construction phases for Millennium Mills, the redevelopment of three ten-storey blocks at the heart of Silvertown on the Royal Docks in Newham, and the Tea Building, the reinvention of Lipton’s former warehouses in Shoreditch. More recently, he has worked on medium to large scale residential projects such as Holloway Prison which will deliver 985 homes on the former site of Holloway Prison in Islington; and a project in south west London that will provide 200 assisted living homes next to a protected woodland and a historic monument. He was promoted to Associate in 2022.
