Sue Peschin

President & CEO at Alliance for Aging Research

Sue Peschin has over 25 years of experience in the public health and public policy fields. Sue began their career in 1990 as an Assistant Supervisor and Cancer Information Specialist at the Cancer Information Service, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In 1993, they joined the Violence Policy Center as a Health Policy Analyst, where they authored studies on gun industry marketing, concealed carry laws, and firearm-related deaths and injuries. Sue then moved to Hadassah, The Women's Zionist Organization of America in 1999 as a Public Policy Associate, where they created advocacy materials, handled logistics, and coordinated more than 1,800 delegates for Hadassah's 85th National Convention Day on the Hill program. In 2000, Sue became a Project Director at the Consumer Federation of America, where they debated issues on national television and radio, spoke at conferences and Capitol Hill briefings, and wrote opinion pieces published in newspapers nationwide. Sue then joined The Sheridan Group in 2005 as a Senior Associate, where they developed and led national lobby day trainings for several clients and managed a coalition of national women's and public health organizations. In the same year, they also became the Owner of Discover Inspiration, offering lobby trainings, meeting facilitation services, and individual coaching for corporate and non-profit clients. In 2007, Sue joined the Alzheimer's Foundation of America as Vice President of Public Policy. Finally, in 2012, they became President & CEO and later Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Alliance for Aging Research.

Sue Peschin's education history began in 1982 when they attended Fox Chapel Area High School until 1986. Sue then went on to pursue a BA from Brandeis University in Sociology, Legal Studies and Women's Studies, which they completed in 1990. In 1993, they obtained a Master of Health Science from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Health Policy.
