Vice President, Policy & Advocacy at Alliance for Children's Rights

Kristin Power has extensive work experience in policy, advocacy, and government relations. Kristin currently holds the position of Vice President, Policy & Advocacy at the Alliance for Children's Rights, where they are responsible for ensuring the rights of impoverished, abused, and neglected children and youth are protected. Kristin also previously served as the Government Relations Director at the same organization. Prior to that, Kristin worked as a Senior Policy Associate at the Alliance for Children's Rights, where they focused on system-wide reform and improving children's lives through legislative and regulatory advocacy.

Before joining the Alliance for Children's Rights, Kristin worked as a Government Affairs Consultant at Power Public Affairs. Kristin also held the position of Vice President, State Affairs at the Consumer Specialty Products Association, where they managed the state affairs program and advocacy efforts in the Western Region. Additionally, they served as the Director of State Affairs at the same organization and worked as a Director of Government Affairs at the Agricultural Council of California.

Kristin's work experience also includes positions at the California Department of Housing and Community Development as the Deputy Director for Legislation, Lawson & Associates Government Relations as a Government Affairs Consultant, the California Grocers Association as the Vice President of Government Relations, and the Grocery Manufacturers Association as the Director of State Affairs.

Overall, Kristin Power has a diverse range of experience in policy and government relations, with a focus on advocating for the rights and well-being of vulnerable populations, particularly children and youth.

Kristin Power holds a BA in political science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Kristin also has an MA in education from the same institution. In addition, they possess a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate obtained from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021.
