Vidhya Raman is a Policy Specialist in Policy Analysis & Guidance at the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), focusing on advancing financial inclusion for people with disabilities and engaging with standard-setting bodies. Prior to this role, Vidhya served as Programme Manager for ASEAN at the Global Institute For Tomorrow, designing and executing executive education programmes. Vidhya also has significant experience in international affairs at the Securities Commission Malaysia, promoting sustainable finance and contributing to Net Zero initiatives. Earlier work at UNHCR involved refugee status determination and protection assessments. Vidhya began a legal career with internships focused on human rights and legal aid, and holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Nottingham Malaysia and a Bachelor of Laws from Bond University.
