Deepak Mohapatra

Deepak Mohapatra is a seasoned professional in the off-grid rural electrification sector, with extensive experience spanning multiple regions, including Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Currently serving as Senior Officer in Business and Market Development at the Alliance for Rural Electrification since May 2019, Deepak has been instrumental in project acquisition, management, stakeholder relations, and policy advocacy. Previous roles include Policy and Business Development Officer and Assistant, as well as a Part-Time Project Coordinator at Lernen - Helfen - Leben e.V., where responsibilities included project planning and implementation of sustainable energy systems. Deepak's background also encompasses internships focused on sustainable energy transitions, research on renewable energy policies, and practical experience in electrical engineering. Deepak holds a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Management from Cologne University of Applied Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology.
