Darren Drury

Darren Drury has a diverse work experience in the agriculture and export industry. Darren has worked in various roles, including as a Category Director for beef at Alliance Group Limited since 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Executive General Manager Pipfruit at T&G Global Limited from 2014 to 2019, where they were responsible for the global Pipfruit category and played a crucial role in strategic management, leadership, and profitability. Darren also served as a Director at Apples and Pears from 2014 to 2016, where they promoted and represented the New Zealand Apple & Pear industry, and as General Manager Sales and Marketing Apples at Turners and Growers Limited from 2013 to 2014, where they managed the sales and marketing function for the apple category. Before that, Darren worked at Delica Ltd from 2007 to 2013, initially as a General Manager and later as a shareholder and Sales Manager. Darren was involved in the marketing and selling of produce from southern hemisphere supply territories. Prior to Delica Ltd, Darren worked at Delica NZ Ltd as a Shareholder/Sales Manager, where they played a pivotal role in driving the global focus of the company's offshore business model. Darren also owned and managed NZ Exports Ltd from 2002 to 2004, a specialist exporter of niche fruit and vegetables. Earlier in their career, Darren held roles at Freshmax, Fresh Pacific Marketing, and Kiwi Harvest/Chiquita Brands, where they gained valuable experience in sales, export, and horticultural business operations.

Darren Drury's education history includes two notable experiences. In 1987, they enrolled in The University of Auckland and pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a focus on Marketing and Economics. Darren completed their degree in 1990. In 2019, Darren participated in the EY Darden Executive Programme at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where they focused on Strategy, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Management.
