Dr. Sebastien Carpentier is a distinguished bioscience engineer with expertise in cell and gene biotechnology and agriculture. Currently serving as a Principal Research Scientist at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT since November 2023, Dr. Carpentier has been a Research Scientist at Bioversity International since October 2017 and has held a Research Scientist position at KU Leuven since October 2011. Dr. Carpentier obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioscience Engineering from KU Leuven in 2007 and a Master’s degree in Bioscience Engineering from the same institution in 2001.
