Pinaki Pal

Pinaki Pal is a Senior Research Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory, with a career spanning multiple positions including Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Appointee since March 2016. Currently, Pinaki holds a joint appointment as a Visiting Scholar at Purdue University. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, where research focused on the computational investigation of thermal inhomogeneities and turbulence in combustion phenomena. Additional experience involves a Visiting PhD Student role at KAUST, and earlier positions as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where projects included fluid-structure interaction studies and thermodynamic modeling. Pinaki earned a PhD and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, following a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
