Nakeisha Daniel

Teaching Artist at Alliance Theatre

Nakeisha Daniel is an accomplished educator and performer with extensive experience in African American theatre and performance. Currently serving as Assistant Professor and Adjunct Professor at the College of Charleston since March 2017, Nakeisha has also been a member of Actors' Equity Association since February 2013. In addition, Nakeisha has contributed as a Teaching Artist at the Alliance Theatre and Engaging Creative Minds since 2015, while holding the role of a Professional Actor at 34 West Theater since February 2016. Previous roles include Artist in Residence and Adjunct Professor at The Citadel (January 2017 - August 2021) and a Tour Director, Teaching Artist Coordinator, and Trainer at Storytree Children's Theatre (August 2017 - December 2019). Nakeisha's brief stint with Adecco in August 2018 involved serving as a Video Narrator/Online Media Personality. Nakeisha holds a Master’s Degree in Acting from Penn State University (2008-2010) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Theatre from Shorter University (2000-2004).
