Akimasa Okada

Akimasa Okada has extensive experience in the financial industry, with various roles at prominent companies. Akimasa is currently the Managing Director and Head of Equity and Alternative Business Development Japan at AllianceBernstein Japan Ltd., where they lead the local Equity and Alternative Business Development and works with sales teams to maximize commercial impacts in Japan. Prior to this, they worked as a Director of Investment Product & Services at UBS Wealth Management, where they managed the distribution of investment products and solutions. Akimasa also held roles as an Investment Strategist at Asuka Asset Management Ltd., BlackRock, and Barclays Global Investors, where they were involved in product management, strategy design, and developing investment solutions. Before that, they worked as an Investment Consultant at Towers Watson, where they provided investment consultancy services to Japanese pension plan sponsors. Akimasa started their career as an Economic Researcher at the NLI Research Institute, analyzing the Japanese economy and international financial markets. Akimasa also held a finance planning and management role at Nippon Life Insurance Company, where they managed the investment of the loan business and analyzed daily market interest rate movements.

Akimasa Okada obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from Hitotsubashi University between 1990 and 1994. Akimasa later pursued their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics at Chiba University from 2001 to 2003.
