Edward Gellert

Edward Gellert serves as Senior Vice President and Managing Director at AllianceBernstein since February 2018, contributing to all facets of the business in collaboration with the Chief Investment Officer. Key responsibilities include overseeing strategy, loan production, and asset management, as well as leading the special situations strategy focused on high-risk loan assets. Gellert also co-chairs the Responsible Investing Advisory Council and emphasizes the development of impact investment strategies. Previously, Gellert held the position of Senior Portfolio Manager at Avenue Capital Group from October 2004 to February 2018 and served as Chairman, President, and CEO at ACRE Realty Investors, Inc. from 2015 to 2017. Gellert earned a degree from Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business between 1984 and 1988.
