Paul Emerson

Paul Emerson, CFA has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Paul is currently a Vice President and Counsel at AllianceBernstein since March 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Operations, Portfolio Management at Dimensional Fund Advisors from September 2015 to November 2017.

Paul previously worked at AllianceBernstein from August 2013 to September 2015, where they held multiple roles including Vice President and Counsel, Director of Risk Management, Asset Allocation, and Operational Risk Manager.

Before joining AllianceBernstein, they worked at UBS Investment Bank as an Operation Risk Analyst from November 2006 to December 2007. Paul also gained experience as a Senior Risk Manager at GE Money Bank from January 2006 to November 2006 and as a Risk Manager at GE Consumer Finance from November 2002 to December 2005.

Paul's career began in the US Army, where they served as an Intelligence Analyst from August 1997 to August 2001.

Paul Emerson, CFA, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in General Life Sciences from Penn State University in 1997. Paul then attended Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University from 2009 to 2013, majoring in Law. In 2009, Paul obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute. In subsequent years, they obtained law licenses in New York, Texas, and Tennessee.
