Maria Ruiz

Maria Ruiz is a community health worker and health coach at AllianceChicago. Maria has over 18 years of experience in the healthcare industry, working as a healthcare consultant since 2001. Maria has worked with a variety of clients, including the Integrated Healthcare Association, the California HealthCare Foundation, and Kaiser Permanente. Maria has authored a report on chronic disease registries for the California HealthCare Foundation, and has provided project management and consulting support to physician organizations in the California Cooperative Health Reporting Initiative Diabetes Continuous Quality Improvement Project.

Maria Ruiz pursued a doctorate in public health from UC Berkeley School of Public Health. Maria then went on to earn a Master of Science in health policy from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Maria Ruiz started their educational career by earning a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Maria then completed their studies at La Universidad de Sevilla.
