Shelly Sital

Shelly Sital is the current Director of Public Health Initiatives at AllianceChicago. Shelly has over 20 years of experience in public health, with a focus on chronic disease prevention and management. Shelly has a Masters in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a certified health coach.

Shelly began their career as a project manager at Clinical Directors Network, Inc. (CDN), where they managed the day-to-day operations of a new study on preventing tipping points in high comorbidity patients. Shelly was responsible for hiring and supervising 8 health coaches and other staff, as well as developing operational policies and procedures for project implementation. Shelly also ensured regulatory compliance and submission of relevant documents to the Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) and a central Institutional Review Board (IRB). In addition, Shelly managed stakeholder engagement, including with C-Suite, clinicians, community members, caregivers, and patients.

In their current role at AllianceChicago, Shelly is responsible for grant writing, partnership and business development, oversight of Electronic Health Record (EHR) queries, and management of a budget of $7.5 million. Shelly provides oversight of all start-up project management activities.

Shelly Sital received their master's degree in public health from the University of Illinois Chicago. Shelly also holds a bachelor's degree in evolution, ecology, and organism biology from The Ohio State University.

Shelly Sital works with Katy Walsh - Director of Grants Management & Development, Jeremy Carr - Director of Applications, and Ekem Merchant-Bleiberg - Senior Director of HIT Operations. Their manager is Fred D. Rachman, CEO.
