Carolyn Clow's work experience includes a range of roles in various organizations. Carolyn is currently serving as the Deputy Director - Administration & Finance at Alliant Energy Center since June 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Village President and Village Trustee at the Village of McFarland, starting in April 2021. Carolyn also served as the Executive Director of the McFarland Family Festival from November 2014 until October 2019. Additionally, Carolyn has experience in purchasing and administration roles at Dane County, where they were a Lead Purchasing Agent from June 2018 to June 2021. Carolyn started as a Purchasing Assistant in April 2001 and worked their way up to become a Purchasing Agent from August 2003 to June 2018. Before that, they worked at Interfaith Hospitality Network as an Office Manager/Case Manager from August 1999 to April 2001. Carolyn also has experience as a Shelter Worker at The Salvation Army and as a Program Assistant at Northwestern University. Carolyn began their career as an English Teacher at Valentine's Cultural Center.

Carolyn Clow earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Spanish and a minor in Educational Studies from Carleton College, where they attended from 1992 to 1996. Carolyn later pursued a Masters of Public Affairs degree in Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completing their studies from 2010 to 2012.
