Randall Barnes

Randall Barnes, EIT, currently serves as Engineer II at Alliant Energy, focusing on IPL Long Range Planning and Scope since May 2020, after progressing from Engineer I in Delivery System Planning West. Involvement with the National Society of Black Engineers includes various leadership roles such as Chapter Parliamentary Zone Advisor, Chapter President Emeritus, and Chapter President, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing meetings, corporate outreach, strategic development, and professional programming. Randall's earlier experience includes supervising and tutoring roles at Northern Illinois University, where tutoring activity covered a wide range of engineering and foundational courses, as well as leadership positions within IEEE Eta Kappa Nu, Kappa Alpha Chapter. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northern Illinois University.
