Melanie Dumas

Melanie Dumas has extensive work experience in the insurance industry, specializing in training and development roles. Melanie began their career as a Sales Associate at Offtech Office Equipment in 1996. Melanie then moved on to Keyport Life Insurance, where they worked as a Marketing Representative from 1997 to 1998, and later as a Trainer/Senior Trainer from 1998 to 2000.

In 2000, Melanie joined Sun Life as a Senior Trainer, where they focused on building leadership, customer service, operations, sales, and technology skills through various training programs. From 2002 to 2006, they served as the Training and Documentation Manager at Sun Life, responsible for recruiting and coaching staff, implementing instructional approaches, and designing training programs.

Melanie joined MetLife in 2006 as the Director of Field Development and Training, a role they held until 2013. In this position, they focused on the development and training of field representatives.

From 2013 to 2016, Melanie worked at Pacific Life, first as the Director of Sales Training and Development, and later as the Assistant Vice President of Training. In these roles, they led multiple training teams and implemented large-scale technology implementations.

Most recently, Melanie joined Allianz Life in 2023 as the Senior Director of Life Optimization.

Melanie Dumas holds a Master of Science degree in Adult and Organizational Learning from Suffolk University, which was obtained in 2008. Melanie also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Providence College. Additionally, Melanie has acquired additional certifications in various fields, including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for HR from Cornell University and Nano Tips for Using ChatGPT for Business with Rachel Woods from LinkedIn. Melanie has also obtained certifications from FINRA, including the SIE, Series 26, and Series 6 certifications.
