Olav Spiegel

Olav Spiegel served as the Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Allianz from February 2016 to October 2023, leading initiatives to create an innovative, agile, and secure IT environment while ensuring regulatory compliance for the Allianz Group. Prior to this role, Olav held the title of CIO at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) and was recognized as a Global Workplace Strategist and Enthusiast, focusing on enhancing employee experience through a modern workplace platform. Earlier in Olav's career, roles included Head of Business Operations & COO at McKinsey & Company from January 2008 to January 2016 and Engagement Manager at Allianz Technology from February 2016 to August 2018. Olav's academic background includes a Master's Degree in Information Engineering and Management from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and additional studies at The University of British Columbia.
