Muhammad Hashim Akhtar

Muhammad Hashim Akhtar has extensive experience in audit and management, currently serving as the Group Head of Management & IS Audit at Allied Bank Limited since June 2012, where previous roles included Divisional Head and Unit Head of Information Systems Audit. Prior to this, Muhammad Hashim Akhtar worked at Warid Telecom from June 2009 to June 2012 as a Senior Executive in Audit, Risk and Corporate Governance, focusing on financial and operational audits, risk assessments, and compliance. Muhammad Hashim Akhtar began a career in auditing at A.F. Ferguson & Co (PwC Pakistan) from 2005 to 2009 as an Audit Senior. Educational qualifications include a C.A. Finalist designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and completion of a B.COM.IT degree from the University of the Punjab, along with ongoing CIA certification and a recent certification in Cybersecurity from ISC2.
