Josiah Mackey has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Starting in 2013, they worked as a Public Programs Intern at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and later as a Gallery Assistant at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. In 2014, Josiah joined NPR as a Graphics Intern, where they utilized Adobe Master Suite to create artwork for podcast segments, website visuals, and social media. Josiah also assisted the senior graphic designer with various tasks. In 2014, Josiah also began working at UC Berkeley, first as a Graduate Student Assistant, where they worked closely with the Graduate Advisor Manager and designed marketing materials. Josiah later took on the role of Graphic Designer (SCET), creating brochures and flyers for workshops and classes. In 2017, Josiah worked as a Jr. Art Director (contract) at MOT Creative, collaborating with the studio creative director to produce Key Art campaigns. Josiah revised and edited Photoshop files for presentations and ensured timely delivery. From 2018 to 2021, Josiah worked at The Tangent Agency as an Art Director, where they directed and designed marketing campaigns across various mediums and managed project schedules and content delivery. Currently, Josiah is working at Allied Global Marketing as an Art Director.

Josiah Mackey began their education at the Laguna College of Art and Design in 2012, where they pursued a field of study in Graphic Design. Josiah studied there until 2014, and it is unclear whether they obtained a degree during this time. In 2014, Josiah transferred to the University of California, Berkeley, where they focused on the practice of art. Josiah completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in practice of art in 2016.
