Mark Johnson has a diverse work experience in the field of marketing and promotions. Mark began their career as a Marketing/Guest Services Intern at AEG Facilities Rose Quarter in 2010. Mark then worked as a Corporate Partnerships Intern at Charlotte Checkers in 2011 and as a Marketing Intern at Symphony Orchestra Augusta in 2012. Mark also gained experience as a Customer Service Specialist at the University of South Carolina Athletics in 2012 and as an Account Executive at OKC Barons Hockey in 2013.

Mark's career progressed as they took on roles at Feld Entertainment, starting as a Manager in Event Marketing & Sales from 2013 to 2016, and later transitioning to become a Regional Manager in the same field for a brief period in 2016. Mark was then promoted to a Marketing Director role at Feld Entertainment from 2016 to 2019, where they managed comprehensive marketing and sales campaigns for various shows. During this time, they also trained and mentored a team that generated $13 million in ticket revenue annually.

In 2019, Mark joined Harlem Globetrotters as a Live Event Promoter, where they successfully planned and executed marketing campaigns in multiple cities and contributed to a revenue of $3.6 million during the 2019-2020 season. Mark continued working with Harlem Globetrotters, taking on the role of Director of Marketing, Live Events from 2021 to 2022. In this role, they developed media strategies and leveraged customer data to optimize sales and guide future national campaigns.

Most recently, Mark has taken up the position of Director, Client Solutions at Allied Global Marketing in 2022.

Mark Johnson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Entertainment Management from the University of South Carolina, graduating in 2012. Mark also obtained several additional certifications, including the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialization from the University of California, Davis in September 2020, Successful Negotiation: Essential Strategies and Skills from the University of Michigan in September 2020, Digital Marketing Specialization from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in August 2020, PH559x: Causal Diagrams: Draw Your Assumptions Before Your Conclusions from HarvardX in August 2020, Google Ads Search Certification from Google in July 2020, DigitalMarketing1.1x: Fundamentals of Digital Marketing, Social Media, and E-Commerce from Wharton Online in March 2019, and Social Media Certified from HubSpot Academy in July 2020. In addition, they have completed various courses on platforms such as Coursera, including "Getting Started in Google Analytics," "Spreadsheets for Beginners using Google Sheets," and "Use Canva to Create Social Media Marketing Designs."
