Sitar Periasamy

Sitar Periasamy has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Sitar is currently serving as the SVP - Head of Platforms & Engineering at Allied World, where they are responsible for AWS Cloud, DevOps, API Marketplace, and Intelligent Automation Platform & Tools in the insurance industry. Prior to this, Sitar worked at Bank of the West as the VP - IT - Sr. Manager. Sitar also held the position of Sr. Technology Leader at Barclays Investment Bank for eight years. Before that, Sitar was the SVP - Dev Group Mgr at Citigroup. Their earlier experiences include working as a Sr Technical Lead/Architect at CNBC, a Tech Lead at UBS Wealth Management, a Sr Consultant at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, a Consultant at IBM, and a Sr Software Engineer at Microland.

Sitar Periasamy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Madurai Kamaraj University in 1992. They then pursued a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) from 1992 to 1996. They have also obtained certifications including AWS Certified Developer Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services, Cloudera - CCA Spark and Hadoop Developer - CCA175 from Cloudera, and PMP from the Project Management Institute.
