Sitar Periasamy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Madurai Kamaraj University in 1992. They then pursued a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) from 1992 to 1996. They have also obtained certifications including AWS Certified Developer Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services, Cloudera - CCA Spark and Hadoop Developer - CCA175 from Cloudera, and PMP from the Project Management Institute.
