Joanna Dornfeld

Joanna Dornfeld is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in public policy, health care, and government operations. Currently serving as Chief of Staff at Allina Health since May 2022, Joanna previously led COVID-19 response operations as the Director for Minnesota Department of Health. Joanna’s role at United States of Care involved directing external affairs and partnerships aimed at improving access to affordable health care, providing strategic consultation to state leaders during the pandemic. In a prior position as Chief of Staff to Governor Mark Dayton, Joanna managed a substantial state government operation while also overseeing legislative and budget proposals. Joanna's background further includes roles in tax policy research and public policy management, complemented by advanced degrees in Advocacy and Political Leadership as well as Journalism and Political Science from the University of Minnesota system.
