Karen Halls Jenkins has over 30 years of experience in the field of meeting planning. Karen Halls began their career in 1991 as a Meeting Planner for the American Galvanizers Association, where they were responsible for all aspects of meeting planning and acted as a liaison to association members. In 1992, they joined Organization Resources Counselors, Inc. (ORC) as a Meeting Planner, managing over 100 off-site meetings annually and gaining proficiency in project management, contract negotiations, and budget management. In 1996, they joined KPMG US as Associate Director of Events & Meetings, leading a team of event marketing and meeting professionals and managing strategic client conferences and internal programs. In 2013, they became Assistant Vice President (CMP) at Allinial Global, an association of independent accounting and advisory firms, where they led a team of meeting professionals and managed global partner conferences. In 2017, they were promoted to Vice President, Global Meeting Services, continuing to oversee the execution of the association's conferences and training programs.

Karen Halls Jenkins holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and English from the University of Vermont. Karen Halls also participated in a Semester at Sea program where they studied and traveled around the world on the SS Universe.
