Zhen Liu

Zhen Liu has over 17 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, Zhen held the position of Sr. Director and Head of CMC at Allorion Therapeutics since November 2021. Prior to that, Zhen worked at Merck & Co., Inc. for 17 years, starting as a Senior Scientist in November 2004 and progressing to the role of Associate Principal Scientist in June 2010. At Merck, Zhen led preformulation and solid-state characterization efforts for oral dosage forms, developed expertise in formulating compounds with poor aqueous solubility, and contributed to the CMC authoring of NDA and IND/CTA/IMPD filings. Zhen also led cross-functional technical teams and played a key role in product characterization, stability studies, and regulatory filings.

Zhen Liu pursued their education from 2000 to 2004 at Columbia University, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering.
